At just 15 years old, Katy Grimshaw embarked on her hairdressing journey and she’s been unstoppable ever since! Fast forward to today, Katy’s not just a six-figure salon owner with over 20 years of experience and a team of 20, she’s a true game changer in the hair industry. From winning at the British Hairdressing Business Awards to being crowned Hair Extensions Artist of the Year 2024 & continuing to proudly teach over 2000 students so far, her talent knows no bounds.
In 2017, Katy turned her passion into a business by launching her luxury hair extensions brand, Spectrum One Hair Extensions, which has become one of the UK’s most sought after names in the industry. Katy’s expertise doesn’t stop there, she has been a Master Colour Expert for Wella, a Brand Educator for Sebastian and is currently an ambassador for Original Minerals sharing her knowledge and inspiring others along the way.
Katy has also proudly taught thousands of students to date, alongside powerhouses of the industry such as Sophia Hilton, Toni & Guy Preston, Marc Anthony, Barry Stephens and many more. She’s not just building a business but a community of creative minds in the hair industry. From growing her talented team from 2 to 20 staff members, Katy has created a dynamic salon experience that strives for innovation, luxury services and stunning hair transformations.
